J. Jason Horejs was born in Provo, Utah, but raised in Southern Idaho. His father, John Horejs, is a professional artist and Jason grew up in the world of art. He saw the art business firsthand from the side of the artist, traveling with his father to gallery exhibitions and helping in the family business by building and preparing custom, canvas stretchers.
At 17, Jason was hired by an extablished, Scottsdale gallery to work in their shipping department. From that position he moved on to computer support and inventory management and then into sales.
Jason worked in Brazil for two years as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. While there he served as a financial secretary for the mission organization and also served in several leadership positions over other missionaries. These experiences taught him important management skills and teamwork, and also instilled within him strong interpersonal skills as he worked directly with hundreds of Brazilian people.
Returning from Brazil, Jason again worked for the same gallery spending winters in Scottsdale, Arizona and summers in Jackson, Wyoming. He spent a year and a half away from the gallery to work for an art casting bronze foundry in Springville, Utah.
Jason has worked in every aspect of the art business, working behind the scenes to display artwork, building relationships with artists and with customers. He has a strong sales record and has successfully placed artwork in numerous homes and offices.
Jason is the co-owner of Xanadu Gallery. He may be emailed by clicking here.
