Frank Morbillo was born in Queens and raised on Long Island, but as a young adult moved west—first to Montana and eventually to Santa Fe, New Mexico. Frank’s work is clearly influenced both by the man-made landscape of urban architecture and by the starker, more abrupt western landscapes which stand as evidence of the forces that shape our natural environment. more . . .

My artistic aesthetic springs from flat west Texas, a land punctuated with cacti, steel-rig trees and pump jacks that start with the dirt, survive the wind and end in the sky.  My sculpture continues this vision of iron and steel. more . . .

CREATING YOUR ARTISTIC IDEAL

John HorejsJust before Mother's Day toward the end of Xanadu's Thursday night Art Walk, a couple came in and made a bee-line for John Horejs' 40x60 oil "Wildflowers in a Summer Garden." As they examined the painting from every angle, looked at the tag, and discussed, I joined them to let them know that John was in the gallery that evening.

Introductions were made, and Scott & Bobbi explained that they were looking for art for their Scottsdale condo. They loved the wildflowers, but wondered if the painting was large enough for their space. We offered to have John bring it over for them to see.

When they all got to the home, "Wildflowers in a Summer Garden" was perfect for the living room. The clients decided to frame the painting to give it a more traditional look that would complement the area. After discussing styles and colors, John took the painting to the Art Department to complete the project.

While at their home, Mr. & Mrs. W. showed John a space in their master bedroom that also needed art. The artist had just finished a 20x60 desert sunset that day. After emailing the image, Scott & Bobbi asked John to bring it to their home first thing the next morning. John Horejs

When the painting arrived they loved it, and are now the proud owners of two John Horejs originals!
