From Jason
We're pleased to present new works by ceramic, raku and bronze artist Lorri Acott-Fowler. Lorri is in town for her show as well as for the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts. Lorri has also been giving a workshop at the Sedona Center for the Arts to teach some of her unusual techniques for creating un-fired ceramic pieces.

Lorri was recently featured in Southwest Art Magazine - you can read the full article by visiting the March 11th issue of RedDot.

Join us for Lorri's opening this Thursday night, April 9th, during the Artwalk from 7-9 p.m. We will also be featuring the hand-crafted Kazuri jewelry of Sandy Schenkat.

This painting is in a rustic black frame. I almost named this painting "Mater" because of the old truck in the Pixar movie "Cars", but thought some people wouldn't get it. I love this old truck. If I could buy it, I would. It looks like it has a special place in these people's driveway - I'm just glad it was sunny when I found it. My husband was driving me home, I had the camera with me, and all of a sudden he heard: "STOP!" I had to get a photo of this classic and paint it. To all classic car lovers out there, here's one for you! - Cristall Harper

     Déjà Vu by Lorri Acott-Fowler
Mare and Foal by Lorri Acott-Fowler
Several weeks ago we had a visitor from Canada (we have a lot of them this time of year, it must be cold up there or something!) who fell in love with Lorri Acott-Fowler's horses. When you see these pieces in person you will see why, these pieces love to be stroked and seen from every angle.

Our client from Canada wasn't able to get them out of her mind and called Elaine on Tuesday to buy four (three now and one on layaway over the next several months).

Terrific timing as we open Lorri's show this Thursday. Come add your own red dot to Lorri's show!

Communion by Gary Price
Xanadu Director, Elaine, helped not only one collector acquire Communion, the 6 and 1/2 foot sculpture by Gary Lee Price, but two, within a week. The first collectors, a couple building a second home, purchased the piece for their entryway. The second buyers will be placing the piece in their corporate lobby of a new office complex they have built in Rexburg, ID.

Don't worry, Elaine only sells paintings once!
