This is one of my favorite paintings to date. The pears were from Chile and the stems sooo long that sitting normally you wouldn't believe they were real. So, the "looking down at them" view worked well. I also love to use striped fabrics in my still life to give movement through the painting. I hope you enjoy this painting, too.
