Grain Shadows

by Helen L. Rietz

10" x 14"

This scene, for me, is the essence of summer. Dry grasses in shades of gold, rust, and brown, rustle softly in the wind. Sagebrush is silvery and dry. Across the field, an irregular line of grain bins echoes that sagebrush silver and casts deep violet shadows in the afternoon sun.

Painted near the end of a long, cold winter, this work reflects my own yearning for the warm days of July.

All of my works are professionally matted and framed, with non-glare conservation glass. Please note that the dimension above are for the image only; the framed work is larger. You can contact me for a description and photo of the painting fully framed.
