There are Western boots -- and then there are Luccheses.

The finest and most elegant on the market, this line of boots has a long Western heritage. Salvatore Lucchese (pronounced Lu-KAY-see) was the son of a Sicilian shoemaker who emigrated to the United States in 1882 and set up a bootmaking shop in San Antonio, Texas. Over the years, this family owned business grew in size and prestige as famous ranchers, celebrities, and politicians began placing orders.

Today, a pair of hand made Lucchese boots can cost as much as -- well, as a horse. These boots are proudly worn to even dressy events -- and are great for dancing.
